Romeo & Juliet - Writing Love Through Metaphor in Poetry

About

Join us for a poetry workshop inspired by Shakespeare’s most famous love story. In Romeo and Juliet, love is written as light, smoke, fire, and stars. In this class, you’ll learn how to use metaphor to give your own feelings shape on the page.

Together, we’ll look at how Shakespeare turns emotion into image, and how metaphor makes love feel vivid and alive. Using gentle prompts and guided writing, you’ll explore love through your own lens, translating feeling into language you can see, hold, and return to.

This class is designed for beginners and curious writers alike. No prior experience needed.
