Gothic Script, Part 1 - Lowercase Letterforms

Inspired by the Montblanc Writer's Edition pen honoring Bram Stoker, author of Dracula, this three-part series taught by Chantelle Hoffmann of Bespoke Strokes Calligraphy invites you into the world of Gothic blackletter. Gothic scripts are some of the oldest and most distinguished scripts in Western history. Rooted in the medieval manuscript tradition and carried forward by monastery scribes and the earliest printed books, Gothic script carries a unique weight and architectural elegance. This first class will focus on the foundational strokes and lowercase letterforms that give Gothic script its distinctive character.

No prior experience or special writing instruments needed. Registrants will receive a link to a custom workbook to download and print before the class.
