Art & Writing, Part 3 – Creating a “Word Garden”

After learning how to draw and paint florals in Part I & II of our Art & Writing Series, Brittany of @peakpaperco will teach you about creating a composition. Together, we’ll create what Brittany calls a “Word Garden” where the stem of your florals will be written in her signature modern calligraphy script. Did you miss Part I & II? If you haven’t taken Brittany’s Introduction to Modern Calligraphy series yet, the classes are also available for replay. However, we’ll do a gentle review of the basics at the beginning of this session. Materials needed to follow along: - A pencil - Any writing instrument (Brittany will be using various Montblanc Meisterstuck fountain pens and roller ball pens) - A bottle of ink in any color - A small paintbrush (Brittany will be using a watercolor Round Size 6 but any size will work) - Nice to haves but not necessary: more of your favorite ink colors, watercolor paints, mixed media paper
