To celebrate the launch of our Van Gogh collection and the inaugural chapter of our Masters of Arts collection we are pleased to present a virtual exploration of Van Gogh’s works with color consultant Ruxandra Duru. Join us as we share the inspiration behind our newest limited edition collection and honor our first Art Master by delving deeper into the intersection between his ability to express powerful emotion and his use of color and form.

  • Ruxandra Duru
    Ruxandra Duru is a New York based color consultant. In her practice she explores the relationships between color, mood, beauty and stimulation. An editorial designer up until 5 years ago, she grew interested in how colors, light and materials can create different atmospheres and improve our well-being across a variety of contexts including graphic design, art and architecture. On top of her own practice, she uses her color knowledge at Google NYC. With a personal interest in art and art history, Ruxandra brings a new perspective to the way we interact with Van Gogh’s art by giving us a deeper insight into how his use of color allowed him to express a range of emotions.
  • Christina Boie
    Christina Boie is the Senior Product Manager for Writing Culture with a focus on Limited Edition Collections at Montblanc. As product manager she orchestrates the creation of each new edition from the very first ideas to the launch, bringing to life these collections with passion and personal enthusiasm. An integral part of this project, we are proud to have Christina presenting the latest addition to the world of collecting - the Montblanc Masters of Art Homage to Vincent van Gogh collection.
